About Route Setters
A good climbing route challenges a climber’s physique and brain and also teaches climbing techniques in a natural way. This is where the importance of the Route Setter comes in.
The Route Setter carefully creates and designs routes that will purposely put the climber’s physical body and problem-solving skills to the test, while ensuring that the route is safe for the climber from beginning till end. A good and experienced Route Setter strives to include all the qualities of a good route: safe, even level of difficulty from start to finish, creative, sequences, variety and artistic flow.
All our Route Setters are certified by the IFSC (International Federation of Sport Climbing).
